We’re passionate about Information Literacy here at DCU Library and so we are delighted to see the new international Information Literacy Logo which was unveiled recently.
The UNESCO international symbol for Information Literacy (IL) logo will be used to promote and make the IL agenda more visible.
“Information literacy empowers people in all walks of life to seek, evaluate, use and create information effectively to achieve their personal, social, occupational and educational goals. It is a basic human right in a digital world and promotes social inclusion in all nations” (Alexandria Proclamation, 2005)
