As part of the IReL Web of Knowledge subscription we have access to the Derwent Innovations Index (DII), a database of patent abstracts and citation details. It contains 22 million patents from 40 patent issuing authorities going back to 1963.
DII is split into three sections:
- Chemical
- Engineering
- Electrical and electronic
Access to full text patents is sold as a separate product. We now have trial access to this running until June 7, 2008.
